Alberto Palanca
Veterinary Nurse
Alberto is a Spanish wildlife vet, specializing in raptors. Working at BBWH as a veterinary nurse, he prioritises giving the best care to all wildlife hospital patients.
Alberto, (all his friends call him Alby) is been involved with wildlife care and conservation since he started his vet school.
Having volunteered with us on his first year in Australia, we recognised that Alby’s valuable skills and new insights would make a valuable contribution to our veterinary team.
Over the past decade, Alby has volunteered and worked with wildlife all over the world including in Spain, France, South Africa and now Australia.
“Every day I get to work, the only thing I can think of is how lucky I am to be able to work with such an amazing team, putting all our efforts together to help our wildlife.
Doesn’t matter how hard it gets, the idea of releasing the animals back into the wild, keeps me working hard to make sure they have the best chance to make it”
