Norm Bartie is a proud Wakka-Wakka man with skills and experience in construction, business process design and leading indigenous youth wellness programs. Norm’s energetic and passionate advocacy for wildlife, experience in landscape construction and deep love of Country has been instrumental in helping us care for the land on which Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital operates. Like his grandfather, a Bundjalung man, Norm is informed by the knowledge of his ancestors and gives his time and energy generously.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Bundjalung Nation on which we live, play and work, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders past, present and emerging.
