Karl Cope is the current Chief Executive Officer of Envirolab Group of Companies, Australia’s largest privately owned scientific laboratory business with facilities in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin and Auckland. Karl has over 20 years of senior executive experience including roles as CEO, CFO and Company Secretary for Australian publicly listed companies and high-profile private companies during periods of significant growth and success.
Growing up in Byron Bay and graduating as School Captain at Byron Bay High School, Karl went on to complete his Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Director.
Karl now calls Sydney home with his wife and two teenage children, but retains a deep connection with his home toen including being a small business owner in the area for almost 20 years.
Karl is passionate about volunteering his time for community organisations and in addition to his role as Chair of Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, he is currently a director of the Newtown Jets Rugby League Football Club, and a volunteer and benefactor of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
