Annette joined the newly created position of Volunteer Coordinator at Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital in 2024.  Annette comes to us with extensive experience in volunteer management, including creating and sustaining volunteer programs, along with a background in Zoological Conservation.

Annette was Volunteer Partnerships Lead at Vision Australia, leading a team of Volunteer Coordinators and has worked managing teams of volunteers at large scale events like Carols by Candlelight.

“I have always had a keen interest in animal welfare and conservation and this role allows me to combine this passion with skills and experience leading and motivating volunteers for organisations with purpose.”

Annette is responsible for our Volunteer Program, recruiting, leading and supporting a team of people willing to offer their time to help our cause, from wildlife handling to administrative support and outreach programs.  We are grateful for the generous support of  The Seaton Foundation, providing the funding for this critical role, and believing in our mission.
